It must be completely factory original with no refinish, repair, alterations, or additions of any kind. These standards apply to both modern and antique firearms.Very Good: Modern firearms must have at least 92% and antique firearms at least 80% original metal and wood finish. The gun must be completely factory original but may have some small repairs, alterations, or non-factory additions. No refinishing is permitted in this category.Good: Modern firearms must retain at least 80% and antique firearms at least 50% metal and wood finish, but may display evidence of old professional refinishing. Small repairs, alterations, or non-factory additions may be encountered.
